Our District Earns MTSS Recognition for the Fourth Year in a Row!
We’re excited to share that our district has once again been recognized for our outstanding use of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)—marking our fourth consecutive year receiving this honor! This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our incredible staff and their ongoing commitment to supporting every student.
What Is Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)?
MTSS is a data-driven framework designed to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed. It helps us provide the right level of support at the right time through high-quality instruction, early identification of student needs, and targeted interventions. Our staff works hard to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Our Achievements This Year
This year, our district earned ten awards in two key areas:
1. Effective Use of Data
Our district received the MTSS Data Utilization Award for our use of the District Capacity Assessment during 2024–2025. In addition, each of our schools received the MTSS Data Utilization Award for effectively collecting and utilizing MTSS fidelity data. Our staff uses data consistently and thoughtfully to monitor student progress, identify students needing additional support, and develop interventions that truly make a difference.
2. Strong Implementation & Positive Impact
Our district received the following awards:
Cassopolis Middle School received bronze awards for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 Behavior and Tier 1 Reading. Cassopolis Sam Adams Elementary received a silver award for Tier 1 Behavior.
By effectively using data and reflecting on our strategies, we have built a strong and responsive MTSS system. Our district is seeing measurable improvements—students are making academic and behavioral gains, and more students are staying on track for graduation, college, and career readiness.
These accomplishments highlight the dedication, collaboration, and heart our staff brings every day to ensure each student has the opportunity to succeed. We’re incredibly proud of this work—and grateful to our community for supporting us every step of the way.
