COVID Information

Ranger Families,

As a new year begins recommendations from the CDC and MDHHS regarding COVID have been updated. In brief, it is recommended schools manage the disease in a manner that is consistent with other communicable diseases.  In other words, encourage students and staff who are ill to stay home.

Whether the cough, runny nose, fever, or other symptom is caused by COVID or another disease, please contact your child’s school and keep your child home.

The state and federal government are also partnering with philanthropic organizations to provide free, at-home, over the counter, COVID-19 rapid tests.  Those tests can be ordered online via either of the following links:

USPS COVID Tests

Project Act

We encourage all families to order free tests and have them available at home.  If your child tests positive for COVID, the recommendation is that they stay home for five (5) days and that upon returning to school they wear a well fitting mask for another five (5) days.  The CDC is no longer recommending that students or staff who have been exposed to COVID quarantine.  Hence, we will no longer have the need to conduct contact tracing.

Your cooperation in monitoring your child’s health and, in so doing, helping us to ensure the health and safety of all our children and staff is sincerely appreciated.
