Hello, my name is Tracy Hertsel.  I was born and raised in the Cassopolis community.  I’m proud to say that I’m a “Ranger” through and through.  I have had the pleasure to give back to the children and community through volunteering, teaching, coaching, being a principal and now leading the school district as Superintendent.  It is my goal as Superintendent to provide the leadership necessary to continue providing a high quality education for the children of our school district and community.

It is important to me to challenge every staff member to teach by Benjamin Franklin’s quote:  “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” As technology becomes more and more a part of our everyday life, it is important to equip our staff with the tools to involve students with hands-on learning each and every day.  I personally want to thank the voters of the community for their support to pass the recent bond.  The money will be used to extend the life of the buildings and protect them from all conditions and will help update Ross Beatty classrooms with furnishings and technology.  A few of the improvement projects have already started, with the majority of the improvements scheduled for the spring and summer of next year.

Thank you for visiting our district website!

Go Rangers!!!
