Notice of Pesticide Treatment

This notice is being provided as required by Michigan Law, specifically the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of 1994, Part 83 Section 8316.

Be advised that a pesticide is expected to be applied at Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School as follows:

Pesticide application will occur April 26, 2017, in the Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School parking lot and along the fence lines. Please be cautious and stay clear of these areas until dry.

Accepting 2017-2018 School of Choice Applications

The Cassopolis Board of Education participates in the Schools of Choice program pursuant to Section 105 and 105c of the State School Aid Act. 

The Cassopolis Public Schools District welcomes applications for enrollment through the Schools of Choice program for Kindergarten - 12th-grade students residing in a local district within the Lewis Cass Intermediate School or a contiguous Intermediate School District such as Van Buren, Berrien, or St. Joseph. 

Any non-resident student interested in applying may obtain an application at the administration building at 725 Center Street, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Applications are also available here: 


Applications will be accepted from April 24, 2017, to May 26, 2017.

Cassopolis Public Schools is fortunate to have the support of individuals who donate time in our schools. We are very thankful for the time and commitment to success that these volunteers share with our students. With the passage of the School Safety Act, it is imperative for the safety of our students that any volunteer read and sign the following Volunteer Application. 

ONE WEEK ADVANCE NOTICE IS REQUIRED in order for the District Office to properly conduct the background check and notify your school building.
